January is gearing up for a slew of must-attend design gatherings as we usher in the new year of 2024. From the Antiques & Garden Show in Nashville, Tennessee, to global design extravaganzas in Paris, there’s a lineup you won’t want to miss.

Heimtextil

Frankfurt, Germany | January 9–12

Every year, Messe Frankfurt hosts Heimtextil, a global trade fair spotlighting interior textiles and industry trends. Drawing retailers, designers, architects, and hotel outfitters, the event boasts over 2,600 exhibitors spanning home, bedding, bath textiles, and now a brand-new section devoted to carpets and rugs. The focal point remains on trend forecasting, this time centered on the theme of “New Sensitivity,” emphasizing eco-conscious textile development.


Biofabricate Summit

Paris | January 10–12

In an inaugural move to Paris, the Biofabricate Summit celebrates a decade of showcasing pioneering biomaterial innovations. Brands, investors, and innovators converge for a three-day summit spotlighting advancements in grown materials for beauty and fashion through talks and presentations.


Antiques & Garden Show of Nashville

Nashville, Tennessee | January 12–14

Returning for its 34th year, this event in Music City promises a fusion of antiques and horticulture. Attendees can indulge in lectures by notable figures like Ina Garten, explore 150 vendors, and immerse themselves in three captivating garden showcases.

Paris Déco Off

Paris | January 17–21

The luxurious textile fair illuminates Paris streets with its Déco Off lanterns, boasting 120+ showrooms for fabric, wallcovering, and trimmings. Complimentary shuttles ease travel between the Left and Right Banks.


Maison&Objet

Paris | January 18–22

Marking its 30th anniversary, Maison&Objet spotlights a reimagined future that merges technology and nature under a “Tech Eden” theme. The event emphasizes nature’s integration into retail, residential, and hospitality spaces to redefine sustainability in design. Over 600 brands across home and gift categories will feature.


“The Collection of Ann and Gordon Getty” Auction at Stair

Hudson, New York | January 23–25

Stair Galleries hosts an auction of the art and furniture belonging to Ann and Gordon Getty. This remarkable private collection encompasses European paintings, Chinese porcelain, and English, French, and Continental furniture, with proceeds benefitting charity.


The Decorative Fair

London | January 23–28

Returning to Evolution London in Battersea Park, this triannual fair showcases English and European antiques, 20th-century designs, and artwork from 130+ dealers. Additionally, it hosts the London Antique Rug & Textile Art Fair with 15 specialist dealers.

Frankfurt, Germany | January 26–30
